Wayne Husted, legendary designer for West Virginia’s Blenko Glass Company,

will speak at the 2013 Glass Collectors Convention.  Mr. Husted will be sharing the podium with Bo Sullivan of Arcalus Period Design at 9:30  a.m. on Saturday, May 18.  Bo was the historian for Rejuvenation in Portland, and Rejuvenation now carries a line of Blenko glassware, so there is the connection.

Mr. Husted designed for Blenko from 1952 to 1963, and then again in 1999.  When you think of mid-century modern glassware, Blenko—and Wayne Husted’s designs—immediately come to mind.  Blenko is the last great American glass factory still in business today.
